Executive Board Notice 06/2026

Recruitment Process Commenced

Following the announcement of retirement of Director Percival, the Museum has commenced recruitment for a new Chair of Human Governance.

The Executive Board will review candidates and submit recommendations to the Feline Council.

Temporary Physical Exhibition 04/2026

Freiburg, Germany


From April 10th to May 2nd, the Museum of Cats will hold a temporary exhibition in Freiburg, Germany. Human visitors are permitted.

New Research Underway 04/2026

Wake the Human


Visitors to the museum are encouraged to take part in the Museum's new interactive exhibit: Wake the Human. Through thorough tests and exercises,

it is intended to establish the best waking protocols that reliably lead to food provision.

Consumer Advisory 03/2026

Tuna Allocation Review

The Museum has opened a review into the allocation of tuna within products marketed to the feline community.

Investigations remain ongoing.

No further comment will be provided at this stage.

Collection Notice 01/2026

Fourteenth Portrait Selection Approved for Public Display

The Feline Council has approved public display of the Fourteenth Portrait Selection.

Visitors are encouraged to maintain an appropriate level of admiration.

The Museum confirms that occupancy rights are established on a first-arrival basis.

Prior human ownership does not automatically confer priority access.

Modern Wing Exhibitions Now Open to the Public

The Museum announces the launch of two new exhibitions in the Modern Wing:

  • Relics of the Domestic Divine

  • Colour Irrelevance Studies

Administrative Bulletin 07/2025

Human Visitors Permitted

After much deliberation, the Feline Council has approved the Executive Board's suggestion to permit human visitors once again to enter the Museum.

This permission may be modified, suspended, or revoked at any time. Access is to be allowed primarily via digital channels to avoid unnecessary interruptions.
